Hello, Mr. Winget,
I enjoy your “Ask Larry Anything” episodes, and I apologize if this question has already been asked or addressed. Do you have any idea how the average working person can pay for Affordable Care?
As soon as the marketplace opened in October of 2013, my employer closed our store and laid off all of the full-time workers, except for management and pharmacists. They kept the part-timers, regardless of tenure and merit.
I am self-employed, but I am struggling to pay the premiums on my “affordable” health insurance. The co-payments are a nightmare.
My friend from Germany says his wife worked for eleven years in the German health care system, and she can make no sense of this system.
Is this system working for anyone else? If so, how?
Sincerely,
Liz Morley
