In this episode of Ask Larry Anything, Larry takes on a father who is in a bad marriage and his 16 yr old is dating a 20 yr old. Larry pulls no punches in this one. Some of you won’t like what he has to say but before you judge, how tough would you be if a grown man was “dating” your underage little girl?

We’ve become a society of weenies. Think about it: we get bad service, for the most part we don’t do a thing about it. We walk down the street and watch people throw their trash on the ground, but we don’t want to say anything to them. Whats happened to us? Well it has to stop. That’s why I wrote this book, Grow a Pair: How to Stop Being a Victim and Take Back Your Life, Your Business, and Your Sanity. Its exactly what we need right now in this country. This is the takeaway line that I am going to share with all my kids and a couple of really friends who need to hear it — “A good divorce is better than a bad marriage.” So simple, yet so profound. Thanks, Larry!
There ain’t no such thing as a good divorce! God hates divorce! Malachi 3:16 Holy Bible. Divorce is not good for anyone. Instead, commit to fixing your marriage.
Don’t accept everything anyone, including Larry says. Larry said in one of his books that pre-marital section is good. No, it’s not. It’s sin, God says so, and therefore its not good for anyone.
Remember, “the best of men are still men at the very best”. Live by what the Bible teaches, not what
Larry teaches
Tony, Malachi? That’s your reference? A 2,000 year old reference. Ever lived in a bad marriage? A bad marriage only sets a bad example for your children. I am PROUD that I divorced my kid’s mother so I could eventually remarry and show them what a real, love-based marriage looked like. All the best to you.
Corrigendum (due to auto fill function)
Larry said in one of his books that pre marital sex is good.
Yes, Tony, I certainly did say that and will stand by it. I didn’t say it was good for minors. But for consenting adults . . . get after it. And if you are naive enough to believe that minors aren’t having sex, then you are the moron you appear to be. 25% of all teenage girls have an STD. Nearly half of all non-white teenage girls have an STD. We need to spend more time on educating how to have sex safely than telling our children they are going to hell for doing something that is absolutely natural.
I am not at all naive, Larry. I know what’s going on out there. I’m simply saying it’s not right, because the Bible says so. The fact that it’s popular doesn’t make it right and the sooner you repent the better for you and your naive listeners.
I’m surprised to learn your first marriage didn’t work. See, guys, Larry is not as good as you (and he) think. You don’t qualify to teach about marriage, Larry. If only you would read and follow the teachings of this 2000year old book. That’s really the problem with America. You have all rejected the light of God’s word and prefer to listen to ‘Larry’.
Larry, you make sense on issues about personal development, work, excellence and managing money, but certainly not on this one. Pre marital and extra marital sex by any one is SIN
BTW, I have a 1st class marriage, based on sound biblical principles. SEE?
Tony, I have been broke too and I am plenty qualified to teach about money. I have, at times, been a bad parent and I am plenty qualified to teach about parenting. Been a bad manager, bad salesman, and irresponsible too – all making me plenty qualified to teach about each of those things. Are you saying that by your warped standard, no sinner can ever teach about sin? Re-read your 2,000 year old book because you seem to have missed some stories, such as that one about Paul. But that is fine you think I am an immoral person. I would rather be me with all of my mistakes than your version of a Christian. All the best to you.
God may hate divorce, but he also gave us resources on how to live our life’s and how to treat one another. Doesn’t sleeping on the sofa for a year give an instant red flag this man isn’t keeping his covenant with God by ruling his own home? I agree with Larry! My only question is how can people write this nonsense to Larry when they already know what he is going to say? It certainly keeps me entertained that people can actually think there are actual options other than “right and wrong” and still expect a contented lifestyle! To you Larry, I love you books, your newsletter and “Ask Larry Anything”! What I am still lacking is the Larry Winget bobble head!
