We’ve become a society of weenies. Think about it: we get bad service, for the most part we don’t do a thing about it. We walk down the street and watch people throw their trash on the ground, but we don’t want to say anything to them. Whats happened to us? Well it has to stop. That’s why I wrote this book, Grow a Pair: How to Stop Being a Victim and Take Back Your Life, Your Business, and Your Sanity. Its exactly what we need right now in this country. So true!
Great post Larry. Our government needs to gets its finances in check. It needs to stop spending more money (our taxpayer money) than it takes in. One way to do this is to stop spending money on boondoggle projects. Of course, these projects keep people working and pay their salaries and keep their businesses running. So, stopping these projects would put people out of work, and hurt the profits of contractors and businesses that run these projects or provide supplies or equipment for these projects. But that is the price that they have to pay for us to have a “lean and mean” government. Another way to rein in expenses is to stop businesses and contractors from overcharging the government. Ultimately, we the taxpayer our paying for these overcharges with our taxes. And the government is going into debt to pay for many of these projects.
We also need to cut back on entitlements, as so put in your book, Grow a Pair. I just started reading this book yesterday. So far, I cannot put it down.
